The Cuban archipelago covers an area of 110,922 km2 and is located at the entrance of the Gulf of Mexico between the 85th and 74th meridians and parallels 19th and the 13th. It consists of the island of Cuba, Isla de la Juventud and 4,000 cays and small islands. The general climate of Cuba is warm for most of the year, except during the months of December to February.
